House Cleaning Schedule
Make House Cleaning Easier!

Cleaning your home and keeping it looking nice does not have to always be a frustrating task. Several different things you can do will make the chore of keeping your home sparkling clean, not such a chore at all.

Creating a convenient and easy to use house cleaning schedule can be extremely beneficial. Many of the tasks we accomplish in our daily lives are performed with the use of a schedule. Cleaning your home is a task that is no exception to this rule.

First make a list of the necessary routine tasks that you will need to perform on a regular basis this will have you well on your way to creating a convenient and easy to use house cleaning schedule.

On your house cleaning schedule, list each specific task that you plan to accomplish on each day of the week from the list you previously created. This will help to ensure that no important chores are forgotten. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to accomplish each task, as well as allowing yourself a little extra time for those spur of the moment surprises that always seem to occur.

Next, look at your list and determine how frequently each job needs to be done. For example, cleaning your kitchen needs to be completed after each meal. Doing your laundry may be something you prefer to do one day or maybe two days per week, depending on the size of your family. Grocery shopping is one of those chores most put off – but schedule the time in advance and make a list of what you need at the grocery. Not only will it save you time at the store, a list of what to get will truly save you money by the time you reach the check out line.

Mark a day and a realistic time frame beside each chore that needs to be done. From there – begin organizing your house-cleaning and shopping schedule. Make sure you remember the other things you have to do each day, like work, run kids to and from their events or school or going to the gym. That way you won’t find yourself making a schedule of “to-do’s” at home during a time that you are supposed to be elsewhere.

Below is a sample house-cleaning schedule for ideas in cleaning your home, and be able to keep it that way.

Daily house cleaning schedule:

  • Make the beds
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Empty trash cans

Every-other-day house cleaning schedule!

  • Laundry

Weekly house cleaning schedule:

  • Vacuuming
  • Furniture dusting
  • Thoroughly clean bathrooms
  • Clean refrigerator
  • Wash bed linens

By determining which jobs need to be done when, makes it much easier to determine who is going to do each chore. It also makes it easy to track who has or has not done their chores, and which ones still need to be done.

Cleaning the house is a necessary evil, but it does not have to be something that is dreaded or takes up too much of your time.
